Niqab and pants shouldn't be worn at the same time LOL! Alhamdulillah the sisters today have so many sites and local stores to get the proper hijab and books on the the topic of proper hijab. My most memorable experience while wear hijab was the first time my father complimented me on my clothes. It was last winter, I was wearing a navy blue jilbab and he told me that I looked very nice. They (my parents or sister) have never commented on my choice of clothing or my hijabs before and coming from my dad it meant a lot that he said that. He hasn't said anything else since but I really treasure that he did say something that one time. As salam alaikum. I was living in Arizona at the time. It was the middle of summer and it was 110 F outside. I had to go to the bank with my mom. I was so nervous, because everyone at the bank had seen me before without hijab. I felt the whole world would be staring. As my mom went up to the teller, I sat down in the waiting area trying not to be noticed. Suddenly a middle aged man approached me, and I became nervous. I had this feeling he was coming to criticize me for my hijab. He greeted me, and then said; "It takes a lot of commitment to wear that when it's so hot outside. Good for you!" I was blown away. I couldn't stop grinning. It was the most beautiful feeling, this feeling that yes it does take a lot of commitment to go against the norm, to stand out from the crowd and to do something for the sake of Allah. I will never forget this day, it still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. Alhumdulillah. Nothing is impossible without Allah's help. As salam aleikom wa rahmatullahi wa barakahtuh,
