  1. Asalaamu Alaikum

As I’ve mentioned before I think that all islamic clothes should be made nursing friendly as we spend years being a mother and also there should be maternity styles as well. Also some new colours would be nice but not too garish. It seems like there’s nothing in the middle. I just want something understated but with colour like a mauve or baby blue or mint green without elaborate decoration. I find most of the colours are geared towards a darker skin tone and that they don’t suit the caucasion skin tone. Bring on the pastels, bring on the maternity and nursing styles!

  2. I would like to see different styles of of abayas such as a dubai abayas. Would be nice to have abayas in different colors. maybe you might want to have jelbabs too.

  3. I would like to see and option where you could choose from different colour trims for the edge of the abaya. Maybe a selection of Jelbabs and Turkish Jelbabs would be nice too.

  4. As sallamu alaikym wa rahmattalahi wa barackatu yes I do agree abayas should be made to be more convenint for nursing mothers and pregnant women.I have spent the last for years of my life pegnant and nursing and it was hard to find nice garments, then I find this web site alhumdillah. The other thing I would like pockets to be added to abayas even the butterfly abayas, and I would like a butterfly abaya with blue embroiry trimming.

  5. As salaamu alaikum. I love styles of abayas and they are made of the most comfortable material. I find them very modest. the only improvement I would like to see is the addition of pockets. this would be a convience to the sister who doesnt perfer to carry a purse.

  6. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

I would like to see a butterfly with teal trim. Would be nice to see a formal range of abaya’s that you could wear to weddings and other formal occasions.

  7. as salamu alaikum – I ordered an abaya and love it alot so I would like different colours like blue and green. A lot of stores sell black but it is hard to find nice coloured simple abayas. Jazakallah khair

I think we need more plain abayas ,without any design at all ,and I would love to see different color PLAIN abayas ..Soft
Nowdays abayas look more like a fashion garment ,rather then just modest..

    waaleikum salam

    • As’salaamu alaikum wa rahmatulaahi wa barakaatuh,

Abayas in all varieties (bisht, butterfly etc)would be brilliant with big hoods inshaAllah and as another sister mentioned the option to lengthen sleeves would be good, the bisht style abayas would be great if they were available in plain style and in crepe fabric inshaAllah and also adding pockets with zips to all abayas would also be good inshaAllah.

Alhamdulillaah for everything that is currently available as it is simple and modest, i would also like to add that the abayas that may not be so suitable for wearing outdoors, like the ones with heavy embroidery and colourful designs are also nice as they can be worn at home to perform salaat but more concentration should be on providing appropriate outdoor wear inshaAllah

      jazakAllahu khairan wa baraakAllahu feekum

  10. Assallamualaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh,
I am a busy mother of 7 and the perfect abaya for me has:
    - 7 inch Zipper Opening on Neck for Nursing
(Snap buttons are hard to open with one hand when holding a baby and often break)
    -Zipper Pocket/Pockets at Hip
(Keys and a couple of bucks will surely fall out without a zipper)
-Medium Length Shayla – 35 inches
(The 45 inch Shayla is just too long to wrap, it gets twisted up and shifts)
-Butterfly Abaya in Dark Gray with Pink Trim or Gray Trim – will look totally awesome!
(I love the dark Grey Shayla/Khimar and Niqab and I like to stay all one color)
-Butterfly Abaya in Chocolate Brown with Pink Trim or Brown Trim – another great combo I love!
(Will also need a matching Shayla and Niqab, of course!)
-Dark Colors with light trim are best and more modest
(Lighter colors tend to see through to what you are wearing underneath)
-Keep the materials light and flowy, and without tassels
(They get caught on everything and get tangled in the wash)
Just let me know when you have them ready :) I will buy them, insha Allah!
    WasallamuAlaikum, Umm Yusuf Aisha

  11. Asalaamu alaikum. It is very difficult to find plain abayas (shoulder close and overhead) without frills and embroidery. Please keep adding plain styles. However, could you add navy blue and chocolate brown (and posibbly dark gray) to your color palette? More styles of khimar too would be nice. Thank you!

  12. Assalamu alaikum, I would have to say hidden pockets, would love to see chocolate brown added and a nursing zipper, I say sister Aisha Khan from above is bang on everything.

  13. Assalamu alaikum, I would also like to add that some abayas with fitted sleeves at least from the elbow down with zippers for easy wudu preparation.

  14. Assalamu Aleikum,

Since I am a tall muslimah, it is always difficult for me to find abayas that are long enough but not too baggy, since most abayas that r available get wider as they get longer. Sleeve length is also very important for me and other tall muslimahs, so along with the length and width of the abaya itself, it would be nice to know the sleeve length as relates to the abaya lenght. So the length and width being independantly cusomizable is a big plus for me. I would love to be able to purchase different cut of abayas that are still in plain colors (blac, navy, grey, brown) but with different flows and sleeve cuts. I’ve seen some very interesting sleeve cuts in magazines, like grecian gown sleeves or the double layered ones, also empire waists, etc. It would be nice to have a customizable option to have different cuts to the body and sleeves.
It’s great that you ask your customers for direct feedbac and ideas! Thank you!

    Best Regards,
    Jana

  15. Assalamu Aleikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuu,

I LOVE the forest green addition in khimar and niqab!! It would be so nice to have an abaya matching with these. Being a nursing mom I was very happy to find in this web-site, that most abayas have front snaps. The butterfly style abayas with colored trim are awsome masha Allah.! Turquoise would make a nice trim also. Don’t you think?

    Wassalam

  16. Asalamu alaikum wa rahmautallah wa barakaartahu
Loving the choices, fabrics and designs available here at sunnah style would just add more overhead abaya choices maybe. An open overhead abaya style would be nice where you could shut it with fastenings or something if you chose to close it. I think more colors in the satin trimmed niqabs would be good (olive green) , and I am loving all the butterfly and bisht abayas, would probably try adding other types of trimming or color threads like gold and silver to add some more elegance, and to bring out the side seams. Maybe some black beading or sequins around necklines would be nice so it’s not really showing. Maybe do more bisht styles with different designs on it.. I think kimono sleeves would be really nice on normal abayas styles and Chinese neck collars. I think colors such as olive green and chocolate brown would be really lovely. Hope I was helpful Wa salam

  17. As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatulah

~I would like an option to add more length to sleeves, even if it was an extra cost.

~I would like softer colors, maybe a mauve, and some variations of grey and blue.

~Adding deep pockets would be an extra plus.

~I prefer simple but functional clothing, but some trim options would be nice.
