Shipping Rates
We have had inquiries regarding our international shipping rates and whether there is a more affordable shipping method.
We currently use the most economical yet practical method that is available to ship international orders (which is airmail). The airmail service has a standard of 6 to 10 business days so that our international customers receive their orders quickly. The service also includes coverage against loss or damage during transport.
The speed and convenience of this service does come with its costs and we do realize that the international shipping rates listed on our website are pricey compared to our North American rates. We would like to mention that we do not profit from the shipping rates we charge. In fact, the rates charged are lower than the actual post office prices, so we cover part of the expense to keep the rates more affordable.
We have previously offered surface mail for international orders. Although this method was cheaper, the delivery standard for surface mail according to the postal service is 4 to 8 weeks which, in our opinion, is absolutely ridiculous. To ensure that our international customers receive their orders in a reasonable amount of time we currently only offer airmail.
Shipping Rates Based on Weight
We currently calculate the shipping cost based on the order total and will soon be changing the rates so that they are based on the weight of the products ordered. We feel that this will provide more accurate rates, especially for customers who place large orders for lightweight items like niqabs.
In addition to this, we will also offer cheaper shipping options within the US and Canada for customers who do not mind waiting a bit longer for their orders. We also plan to add an Express service for international orders, inshaa’Allaah.
